Earth and Space Journey

The LabLearner 5th-grade Journey, Earth and Space, is intended to occur at the end of the school year. This single Journey draws on conceptual understanding of material students have digested in previous CELLs and Journeys including Properties of Matter, Our Solar System, Ecosystems and Changes, Biomes Journey, Forms of Energy, Dynamic Earth Journey, Earth’s Forces, and others.

In addition, this Journey summarizes much of this previous knowledge into integrated Earth systems that demonstrate the essential interplay between many diverse areas of science. This, in and of itself, is excellent preparation for further in-depth studies of these and new scientific concepts in LabLearner Middle School.

IMPORTANT: If this Journey is broken up, the sessions should nonetheless be presented and discussed in the numbered order suggested here.
