Plants and Animals Journey

Students explore the structures and functions of plants, the classification of animals, and the life cycles of plants and animals. During their exploration, they discover the characteristics of plants and animals that make them similar and different. The focus of this Journey includes:

• Investigate the structures, functions, and needs of plants.
• Classify animals into groups such as vertebrates, invertebrates, mammals, reptiles, birds, and amphibians.
• Discover the parts of a plant’s life cycle.
• Compare and contrast different types of seeds.
• Explore the life cycles of various kinds of animals.
