PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT FOCUS

Within the CELL, this Performance Assessment is designed to:

• promote problem-solving skills by encouraging students to find appropriate solutions to problems.
• encourage planning and reasoning as students work together to complete a meal plan that is nutritionally balanced.
• assess students’ understanding of how to use the MyPlate graphic and nutrition labels.
• encourage students to apply their knowledge of the MyPlate graphic and %Daily Values when evaluating a meal plan.

Note: No Performance Assessment Teacher Video

This Performance Assessment does not have a Teacher’s Video to go along with it. This is because, in this case, there are no special instructions to the teacher that are not easily followed in the Lab section.
