PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT FOCUS

Within the CELL, this Performance Assessment is designed to:

• promote problem-solving skills by encouraging students to find appropriate solutions to a designated problem.
• encourage planning and reasoning as students use their prior knowledge of absorption, transmission and reflection to successfully solve a problem.
• assess students’ knowledge of the Law of Reflection to successfully solve the problem.
• encourage students to apply their knowledge of absorption, transmission and reflection to design their solution to the problem.
