Hot Plate/Stirrer Use and Operation
1. Plug in the hot plate.
2. The hot plate/stirrer has two functions, heating and stirring. The knob on the left of the hot plate/stirrer controls the stirring capabilities and the knob on the right controls the heat.
3. Each scale runs from one to ten, one being the lowest setting and ten being the highest.
4. If using the hot plate, place the substance to be heated in a Pyrex container. Place the container on the hot plate and rotate the heat knob clockwise to turn on the hot plate.
5. If using the stirrer, place the substance to be stirred in a Pyrex container. Place a stir bar in the container and set the container on the stirrer. Rotate the stirring control knob clockwise to turn on the stirrer.
6. When you are finished, turn the heat knob or the stirring knob to the off position.
