Performance Assessment
PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT FOCUS
Within the CELL, this Performance Assessment is designed to:
- encourage students to apply their knowledge of density by creating a model of an undersea city that incorporates knowledge of the relative densities of solutions, liquids, and solids and how differences in density affect the behavior of a substance.
- promote problem-solving skills by encouraging students to find appropriate solutions to problems.
- Assess students’ understanding of density.
- assess students’ understanding of the arrangement of the particles in substances that determines density.
- assess students’ ability to measure the density of a solution and various solids.
Note: No Performance Assessment Teacher Video
This Performance Assessment Teacher Video is being updated along with Exploring Density Investigation 5.
