Investigation Three Summary – Effects of Gravitational Force

In Investigation Three, you discovered how a force affects objects in motion. Furthermore, gravitational force is responsible for maintaining planetary motion and the orbit of the moon. During this Investigation, you:

1. Simulated Newton’s First Law of Motion as you modeled the movement of an object in motion.

2. Modeled the effects of gravitational force on planetary motion in orbit around the sun.

Investigation Three Summary – Learning Goals

Through these experiments, you concluded that:

1. Gravitational force causes the orbit of the planets around the Sun and the Moon around the Earth.
