► Investigation Two Summary – Lab Goals
In Investigation Two, you explored the Law of Reflection as light interacts with a medium or object. During this Investigation, you:
- Used a beam of light, protractor, and mirror to measure the angle of incidence and angle of reflection.
- Applied the Law of Reflection to manipulate images in a mirror.
► Investigation Two Summary – Learning Goals
Through these experiments, you concluded that:
1. Objects that neither absorb nor transmit light reflect light. When a light wave interacts with an object that reflects light, the angle at which the wave is reflected off the object (the angle of reflection) is equal to the angle at which it encounters the object (the angle of incidence). This is true regardless of the angle at which the wave strikes the object. This relationship is called the Law of Reflection.
